Minamata Disease Takanori Goto has orchestrated the hitokabu* campaign, which was an extraordinary idea to take control of the Chisso company by each campaigner buying one share.

In 1970

he sued for the failure of shareholders* meeting by Chisso. He served as the chief attorney in the cases of Minamata Disease against Chisso, though which in the case of Teruo Kawamoto,
T. Goto dismissed the criminal action at the Supreme Court. A motion to dismiss at the Supreme Court has never been achieved in the history except for this case of Teruo Kwamoto in Japan.
T. Goto also objected against the government for as many as 11 times.
Pharmaceutical case
The attorney Goto stood for the victims of chloroguine agents against the pharmaceutical corporations and the Ministry of Welfare up to the Supreme Court.
The experience to study abroad In 1980 Goto finished his work at Harvard Law School as a resarch fellow. As a result of his study, he wrote the Modern Theory for the Reparation* which is known as GENNZAI SONGAI BAISHOURON. ( published by Nihon Hyouron Shya ) 1982

In 1980s

Goto specialized in concluding numerous contracts of purchasing buildings overseas. During this period, he gained the practical ability to conclude contructs concerning multinational businesses.
Goto translated a book called Police and Community in Japan*written by Walter L. Ames who was one of his friends at Harvard Law School. 1985.
Goto was a lecturer on the subject of Law and Economics for five years at Tsukuba Univ.
As a principal editor, Goto co-authored the Kusuri no Hnazai* which was published by Yuhikaku. 1988

he translated this to English by himself, known as * Japan's Dark Side to Progress* (The struggle for justice for pharmaceutical victims of Japan's post war economic boom) published by Manboh Shya.

He published a book called Silence and Explosion* from Shueisha which he long wanted to write about the Minamata Disease.
